Miss Bauer's First Grade
Pleased to meet you!
I am beyond excited to be your child's teacher this year! I have been lucky enough to teach first grade for the past nine years. First grade is, by far, my favorite year. Not only is it a year full of development, but the students at this age are hilarious, have a very unique view of the world and always give the best hugs!
I grew up in a small town in Ohio and received my bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University in 2008. Upon graduating, I moved to North Carolina to begin my teaching career. I was ready for somewhere different--something new; and I couldn't be happier with my choice to move to Raleigh. I spent my first five years at West Clayton Elementary, and moved to Holly Ridge four years ago. I am eager to begin my fifth year here for the 2017-2018 school year!
Growing up with both parents in education (my mother teaches middle school special needs students and my father is a middle school principal), my choice to become an educator came pretty easily. I can't think of anything I would be happier doing day in and day out. I absolutely love watching my babes learn and grow each year!
Our classroom will be a safe place to learn and grow and make new friends. Our door is always open to questions and volunteers, and I hope that you will feel a part of our school lives! I am looking forward to new faces, learning, laughter and love as we begin this new school year.
